Yes, it is Spring Break, this is true. But, alas, I have spent the week doing my homework. Oh, but don’t worry, because it has been  blissfully happy homework, all in preparation for the wonderful Fibres West yarny fair happening this Friday and Saturday at the Cloverdale Fair Grounds. I hope you are planning to come and visit!

I’ve been playing with these lovelies.  They are sweet little zippers intended for doll clothes, and a perfect workshop size.  I found them here, and was amazed at the quick delivery and response to emails from Lee Ann.  Check them out!

There are works-in-progress samples at the various stages of zipperness, all over the place!

The program is called Stuck on the Zipper, but the plan is to have loads of fun stitching these teeny beauties into our knitting.

I’ve been sprucing up the intarsia samples for A Clear Picture, a colourwork program. They feel Springy and pretty and are so much fun to knit!  We’ll be channeling Kaffe and painting pictures with yarn.

Little Missie Mannequin is waiting patiently by the door, for her car ride to the gallery. She is wearing a wool sweater and a hemp shawl, but a very flowery bright skirt, reminding us that soon we will be all decked out in carefree flowing dresses with sandals. . . . ah, ‘can’t wait!

I put the finishing touches on a new outfit yesterday, so that it could be blocked and dry in time to wear tomorrow.  I haven’t taken any photos of it yet, so will do that on the weekend and post a few shots.  Happy first day of Spring! and I hope I will see you at the fair tomorrow.
