January Finished Project: number two
I finished off a pair of Clara Parkes‘ Maine Morning Mitts this week, as a gift for a beautiful person who arrives at school early each day to help in my classroom. She is a bright light, full of patience and kindness, with a smile that won’t quit. Her busy hands are sorting books, sharpening pencils, and unstacking chairs while many of the sweet Firsties are still at home brushing their teeth and tying their shoes. For a while at the beginning of each day, I am a guest in the world of this joyful girl, who is quietly going about making things better for everyone around her. Thank you, Natasha, from the bottom of my heart. I hope these happy mitts will keep your helpful hands comfy and cozy.
