Using a 5 mm needle, I was able to get gauge for the pattern, and beautiful baby coat fabric, that will wash and stand up to wear. I left the bottom of the cuffs open, and folded them back for a more versatile length. I found vintage buttons at Fabricland in Langley in a package called Heirloom, by Dress It Up. There are more babies and more sweaters to come. This one is a hit and knits up, in one-piece, in about 8 hours, plus washing, blocking, and finishing. .
